Los Cerritos is located between Long Beach Blvd. to the east, LA river on the west, Wardlow to the south and Del Amo Blvd. to the north. Los Cerritos - Virginia Country Club area is one of the most prominent areas in the City of Long Beach. Prominently located in this area is the Rancho Los Cerritos Historic site (public museum originally built as an adobe home in 1844), Los Cerritos Park, Los Cerritos Elementary School and the Virginia Country Club (private golf course opened in 1921).

There are a variety of architectural styles found in Los Cerritos from smaller post-War tract homes that have been updated and expanded to custom estate-type properties. You will find traditional Cape Cod homes as well as Contemporary, Spanish, California Bungalow, Colonial, Ranches and custom homes. Size of the homes will vary greatly from 1,200 square feet to over 10,000 square foot estate homes. Although you will find many one story homes, you will also find an inventory of two story homes that offer more space for your family. The number of bedrooms will range from 2 to over 6 in the larger homes. Lots are larger in Los Cerritos ranging from over 5,000 square feet to a few that have over 1+ acres. This area retains its market value well even in difficult markets because of its location, reputation and stability.

The Los Cerritos area contains four highly regarded schools - Los Cerritos Elementary, Longfellow Elementary and Hughes Middle School (all are a part of Long Beach Unified School District), and St. Barnabas Catholic School providing the neighborhood with award winning schools for your family.
