Los Altos is an upscale Long Beach community just west of Long Beach State University. This affluent community is a short drive from all the "hot spots" within Long Beach. Park Estates is bordered on the north by Atherton Street, to the south by Pacific Coast Highway and to the west by Bellflower Blvd. Park Estates has just over 1,000 homes and condos that were mostly built in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. With the exception of condos and other investment properties in the area, the single-family lots tend to be 6,900 square feet or larger. Homes vary both in style and size. It is possible to find a few lots that are 1.0+ acre in size. Several of the streets within Park Estates are dead-end streets, cul-de-sacs or otherwise hidden lending itself to the feel of being private and secluded.

Although the local retail, commercial and dining opportunities are not found in Park Estates, they are all within walking distance or a short car ride away.
