Bixby Knolls contains a large residential population that is popularly considered to be bordered to the south by Wardlow Avenue, to the west by the LA River, to the north by Del Amo Blvd., and to the west by Cherry Avenue. Its location is both ideal and convenient to all Southern California destinations. Although this entire area is commonly referred to as "Bixby Knolls," the actual sub-community of Long Beach known as "Bixby Knoll" is significantly smaller in area.

Bixby Knoll contains three highly regarded schools - Longfellow Elementary and Hughes Middle School (all are a part of Long Beach Unified School District), and St. Barnabas Catholic School providing the neighborhood with award winning schools for your family.
